Sprint gives us a demo of the HTC EVO 4G, a WiMax Android smartphone with HTC Sense UI, with key features including an 8-megapixel camera, 720p HD video recording and encoding, HDMI output to TV, large 4.3-inch capacitive touchscreen, mobile hotspot app, kickstand for multimedia consumption experience, and more. The device also has a fast Snapdragon processor. This is the smartphone to beat!

Compared to Iphone4, is 4G connectivity of evo really make a difference when it comes to browsing? This phones uses snapdragon processor,isn’t it? which mean it will not be as powerful as Apple A4 processor.
It maybe 3 years old but I’m very happy with my HTC Wizard running WM5 and SPB Mobile Shell, 2.8 capacitive screen, WIFi, Cyberon Voice Command……loaded with apps. If I wanted to I could flash a WM6 ROM or maybe Android. (only thing that sucks is the camera)
NOW IF I was going to buy a phone it would be the HTC EVO4G
Why? An enormous screen (1.4in bigger than iPhone), Internet speed is about 2-3x faster, 8mp camera vs iPhone 5mp, highly customizable OS. oh… & no dropped calls !

Why would you pay $10 extra a month for the evo, for NOTHING (unless you are in a 4g network).

Does anyone know if it takes good videos? I heard HTC phone usually if someone walks or runs in the video you see the lag.
sprint sucks. plain and simple. you can have the most amazing phone ever designed by mankind, but it ain’t matter much if i can’t make a call whenever i want. i’m a current spring customer in a big metropolitan area, and i’m roaming half the time.

The only thing keeping me from buying this phone is the lack of apps-the iPhone as so many cool apps that no matter wat features this has the lack of apps is juz a mayor drawback.

I got my white evo 4g the other day, Im so glad now that the line to get a iphone 4 was 19 hours long, the evo is very fast, and I have 4g in my town wich makes it even better

It would be wise to be wary of HTC – their products have power circuitry defects that surface after some time. And worse, this firm culture does not do recalls of defective products – instead they flog their defective products and flush their channel inventory on unsuspecting consumers.
