Question by .:Thom:.: Is £350 a justified price for the iPhone? Should i buy one?
I really want one, but my parents dont really want me to get one because of the £350 price tag, there also worried i will become a theif magnet at school.
Any advice?

I agree with your parents. You don’t need that phone.
Your parents are right – wait til nearer Christmas – the price will come down & you’ll be less likely to be a target. Or if you REALLY want one, buy it for home use, & keep your old phone for IN school.
Yes it’s definitely something that’s likely to get stolen. Wait a year or so and see a) if you still want one and b) how much they’ll have gone down in price.
It’s up to you but that’s what I’d do.
i have 2 friends who have iphones.
if your gonna use it for the internet and music then go for it
if you just want it for the name or just for a phone then dont bother.
yes people at school will be interested when they find out youve got one.
oh and one good thing to point out is that it doesnt have bluetooth so you cant swop songs and videos
ignore king f, the phone is well over-rated, i had one for about 3 weeks, the battery is poor it only lasts a few hours if your talking alot, and only about 20ish hours if your only using it every now and again, personally mate get an ipod touch for music etc., they retail at about £150 and you get a rather awesome mobile phone and still have some money left over..
besides ipod phones are a thief magnet so your parents aren’t telling you porkies..

Just get an iPod and a decent phone. I couldn’t ever imagine using the array of utterly pointless features the iPhone has unless I were going on a really long car journey.
yeah there are expensive but amazing at the same time! i would hold on to your money because i read in a newspaper that there are bringing out a iphone nano which they said would be cheaper! so i would wait and see what happens before you buy!!
Hi Thom, I’d say no – we get a lot of people saying that they’re not all they cracked up to be. They look great, have great functionality, but aren’t the best phone. You’re right too – they’re very popular where theives are concerned and I’d hate for you to lose it after spending all that money. My advice is get a Tocco or a Viewty – amazing phones or, if you really want an iphone, get it on contract (through your mum or dad) and get it insured. Check with them too because my phone is also insured on my contents insurance for my house. Hope that helps! Good luck! Kx
